National Palace of Mafra
The National Palace of Mafra with 300 years is just about 25 kilometers from Lisbon, it is composed of a palace and monastery in the baroque style, in the German side. The work of its construction began in 1717 at the initiative of John V of Portugal, by virtue of a promise he had made in the name of the offspring that came from the queen, Maria Anna of Austria. The building has about 40,000 m2, which housed 300 friars from the Order of St. Francis. Classified as a National Monument in 1910, it was one of the finalists of the initiative Seven Wonders of Portugal on July 7, 2007.
Village of José Franco
The history of the small village dates back to 1920. In the early 60's, José Franco gave wings to a dream, to recreate a village that would be a replica of the old workshops and shops, referring to the peasant life of the Mafra region; Walled as a castle the village has a children's park, incorporating some old agricultural machinery, which children can move freely.
Taste the delicious Mafra bread
Here we will make a short stop to appreciate the typical bread of Mafra, recognized by many as the best bread of Portugal.
This seaside villa is painted with blues that make us sigh for eternal vacations. It always smells of the sea, we hear seagulls in the background and there is a general calm that makes us feel in peace. Strolling through the village is delightful, most of the houses have no more than two floors, are decorated with tiles and white and blue walls.
Fisherman's Beach Ericeira
Fisherman's Beach welcomes you with all its colors. The view we have on the beach is so beautiful that we miss the time to contemplate it.
Ericeira is known for the multitude of different surf spots, each with their own characteristics and level of difficulty, Ribeira d'Ilhas is possibly the most famous of these beaches. This beach was considered a World Surfing Reserve on October 14, 2011
