In this 6-hour private car tour we will visit Sintra, a town and municipality approximately 30km from Lisbon and a must for any traveler visiting Portugal’s capital. The town is located near a mountain (Serra de Sintra) and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Palácio de Queluz
After a quick ride from Lisbon, we will stop at the Queluz National Palace for a visit. This palace is one of the most notable works of Portuguese architecture. As the residence for Portuguese monarchs of the 18th century, it shows signs of French influence in its lines, shapes, gardens and majestic rooms. It is often regarded as the Portuguese Versailles.
Sintra town center
We will stop in the Sintra town center for a quick walk for pictures and a travesseiro traditional pastry. Sintra is a beautiful and historical town which has been dominated by romans, muslims and spaniards, making each of its monuments exhibit unique characteristics.
Quinta da Regaleira
Stop at Quinta da Regaleira for a visit. Regaleira is a fascinating set of architecture masterpieces located in the beautiful Sintra center, which were built in the early 20th century by italian architect Luigi Manini.
Castelo dos Mouros
Stop at Castelo dos Mouros for visit and pictures. This moorish castle was built during the period of Muslim Iberia in the 8th and 9th centuries and was the most important castle in the country at that time. It offers a great view over the Sintra region all the way to Lisbon.
Palácio da Pena
Stop at the Pena National Palace for a visit to the palace and gardens. This palace sits wonderfully at the top of the Sintra mountains and looks right out of a fairy tale! It is one of the wonders of Portugal and represents one of the greatest expressions of 19th century romantic architecture.

Sintra is a beautiful town about 30km from Lisbon, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Be aware that even when the weather is pleasant in Lisbon, it is often raining or chilly in Sintra so it may be wise to bring a jacket!
